About SASSM

History

At the beginning of 2012, a group of highly respected Sexual Medicine Specialists from India decided to take action on the clear need and willingness to found a new professional society for sexual medicine in the South Asian region. As a result, they formed a founding steering committee and worked on setting up the new South Asian Society for Sexual Medicine (SASSM), which was established in August 2012. The first scientific activity of the SASSM was held in Bangalore, India on 29th, 30th, 31st match 2013.

Aims

The SASSM is a not-for-profit organization whose aims are to
  1. Encourage the highest standards of practice, education and research in the field of human sexuality and Andrology;
  2. To develop scientific methods for the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of conditions affecting human sexual – reproductive function;
  3. To promote the publication of medical and scientific literature in the field of sexual – reproductive function.
